Who Needs Prenatal Essentials

Too many prenatals on the market contain too many ingredients. When it comes to growing a healthy baby, more is not necessarily better.

Prenatal Essentials is designed for women seeking an affordable prenatal multivitamin without compromising quality. It contains the essential vitamins, minerals, and nutrients you need to support a healthy pregnancy...no more, no less.

Is Prenatal Essentials right for you?

  • You eat a healthy, well-balanced diet
  • Prefer a convenient, 2-capsule serving size
  • Want an affordable, high-quality prenatal vitamin supplement
  • Need just the essential nutrients to support a healthy pregnancy
  • You do not require a high-strength prenatal
Prenatal Essentials contains superior and bioavailable forms of key pregnancy nutrients to support baby’s development.
  • Methylation and Nervous System: Methylated forms of folate and B12 are included, along with TMG (trimethylglycine). These important nutrients act as methyl donors in the body. They provide methyl groups for your MTHFR gene and methylation pathway. Proper methylation is required for baby’s healthy brain and spine development, cognition, and genetic expression.
  • Eyes and Membranes: Active forms of vitamin A support normal development of brain, eyes, mucous membranes, skin, and immune function.
  • Immune system, Cognition, and Mood: Vitamin D (as D3) and vitamin K2 play critical roles in a healthy immune system, bone growth, cognition, and mood.
  • Antioxidants and Immune Defenses: Vitamin C, vitamin E, zinc, and selenium support healthy immune and antioxidant defenses for you and baby.
  • Digestive Comfort: Active vitamin B6 (as P-5-P) supports occasional morning sickness or upset stomach during pregnancy.
  • Optimal Genetic Expression: Key nutrients are included that support healthy MTHFR, BC01, and GST/GPX genes, along with many other enzymes and genes that are crucial for cell division, pregnancy, and healthy fertility.
Prenatal Essentials can be taken before, during, and after pregnancy to support:
  • Healthy fertility
  • Pregnancy health
  • Normal fetal development
  • Postpartum recovery
  • Lactation support
Trusted by healthcare practitioners worldwide, Seeking Health prenatals are known as some of the best prenatal vitamins available over-the-counter.

None of our Seeking Health prenatals contain added iron. This makes it easy to customize your intake by supplementing separately with a gentle form of iron. If supplementation is needed, consider Iron Chewable. Each tasty tablet provides 10 mg of iron in a well-tolerated form known not to cause constipation. Take at least 2 hours apart from your prenatals to support optional calcium absorption. All our Seeking Health prenatal vitamins are gluten-free.

We know it can be challenging to find a high-quality prenatal that is also affordable. This is why epigenetics expert Dr. Ben Lynch designed Prenatal Essentials. Are you seeking a prenatal with the foundational nutrients in bioavailable forms? Look no further! Get ready to feel energized and comfortable throughout your day so you can have time for what you need most: a healthy pregnancy and baby.

Key Ingredients In Prenatal Essentials

  • True Folate: Folate is provided as L-5-MTHF (methylfolate) and folinic acid (a methyl-free form). These bioavailable forms are readily recognized and utilized by your body. True folate is required for proper methylation in both you and baby. It supports healthy gene expression, spine and brain development, and DNA/RNA synthesis. We never use the artificial form of folate, folic acid, in any of our Seeking Health prenatals.
  • Bioavailable B12: ‘Adeno’ and ‘Methyl’ forms of vitamin B12 are included in this formula. These bioavailable forms act as coenzymes in your body to power important enzymes. Bioactive B12 supports healthy energy production and is required to utilize folate for methylation processes.
  • Vitamin A: Vitamin A is provided as both the precursor, beta-carotene, and the bioactive form, retinyl palmitate. The latter form accommodates common variations in the BC01 gene. Mutations in this gene can make it difficult to convert vitamin A to its active form. Vitamin A supports health of the brain, eyes, mucous membranes, skin, and immune system.
  • Chelated Minerals: The minerals in this formula are bonded with amino acids. This makes them recognizable by your body for optimal utilization and absorption.
  • Lutein & Zeaxanthin: Marigold flower extract provides these important carotenoids to support healthy vision for you and baby.

Why Prenatal Essentials Works

Why Prenatal Essentials Works

Doctors recommend folate and B12 during pregnancy. These essential nutrients are well-known to reduce the risk of neural tube defects (e.g., spina bifida), as well as other birth defects and pregnancy complications.

Prenatal Essentials was formulated based on the enzymatic pathways involved in pregnancy and genetic development. Enzymes in these pathways require specific nutrients as cofactors. Arguably the most important of these nutrients are folate and B12 in their most active forms. Your body needs these bioavailable forms for proper methylation, which is essential for healthy fetal development.

Your MTHFR gene converts and produces folate (5-MTHF) from whole foods. However, MTHFR gene variations or lifestyle stress can slow down this gene, causing folate deficiency. It is estimated that over 50% of the population has a mutation in their MTHFR gene.

Folic acid is an artificial form of folate often prescribed to pregnant women. This form can slow the MTHFR gene even more! Folic acid is not included in any of Seeking Health’s dietary supplements. Instead, we use natural and bioavailable forms of folate. These include 5-MTHF (methylated) and methyl-free folinic acid (calcium folinate).

By supplementing with the natural form of folate as 5-Methyltetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF), you bypass the MTHFR enzyme. Pre-formed 5-MTHF provides a methyl group attached to folate that can be used in the methylation cycle.

The active or methylated form of vitamin B12, methylcobalamin, is essential for proper folate utilization, methylation, DNA expression, and much more.

Prenatal Essentials contains these essential nutrients in their bioavailable, methylated forms. Without sufficient bioavailable folate and B12, the fetus cannot effectively develop and express its genetics.

You have enough to worry about when you’re pregnant. Choosing the right prenatal shouldn’t be an added stressor! Prenatal Essentials has what you need and nothing you don’t. If you’re looking for a formula that covers your bases without the excess, then Prenatal Essentials was designed for you.

How to Enhance Prenatal Essentials

Try Prenatal Yoga

It is incredibly important to keep a healthy balance of stress and relaxation during pregnancy. Implementing gentle movement into your routine can help minimize oxidative stress on your genes. It also supports muscle comfort as your body grows and changes. If gentle movement is not possible, practice deep breathing through your nose to help to lower your stress response.

Pairs Well With

Optimal DHA, this DHA supplement offers a clean and pure source of prenatal DHA and EPA. These omega-3 fatty acids from fish oil are essential for healthy brain development and cognition. ProBiota Bifido, a unique one-a-day probiotic that supports a healthy microbiome for you and baby. Bifidobacteria passed along from the mother may support healthy immune system development. Optimal PC, as a source of phosphatidylcholine to support choline synthesis. Choline is required in higher amounts during pregnancy to support healthy brain and neural tube development.

Clean Your Genes

After years of suffering from unexplainable health issues, Dr. Ben Lynch, ND discovered the root cause - "dirty" genes. In his best-selling book, Dirty Genes, Dr. Ben Lynch describes the steps you can take to promote optimal epigenetic health.
